Trailer

My favorite fall festival is the Dayton Outdoor Experience in Dayton. It’s a weekend of hiking/biking/boating/camping, music and beer.

They have a campground so you can setup a tent, stay overnight thru the weekend. It’s on the bike trail, so you can bike to/thru downtown Dayton.

And, they have a garage sale where you can either get rid of or pick up old gear.

My sister pointed out an old Bob trailer, a great bike trailer for extended cycle touring trips. It was dinged and banged up, not too much rust. It’s a fine trailer, retails for around $300. I was able to pick this one up for $40.

A few of the parts had to be replaced, and the manufacturer is no longer producing these. But I knew campfire cycles had replacement parts.

So, I replaced the trailer arm, got the parts to connect it to my bike, added a fender, reflectors.

I sanded and repainted. And put together my own flag for visibility.

200% positive experience.
